CAN YOU GIVE US A BRIEF BACKGROUND ON YOURSELF?
I am an illustrator originally from the Western United States, but have lived in Latin America since 2003. I like creating things that make me and others feel good. My personal philosophy is curiosity, inspiration, play, discovery.
YOU'RE PRETTY PROLIFIC, SO YOU MUST HAVE TONS OF ARTWORK. HOW QUICKLY DOES YOUR STYLE EVOLVE AND HOW DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF ALL YOUR WORK?
I think originally my work was a little bit darker & somewhat political. I think over the years I have just been more appreciative of life and all it's experiences, and having a 4 year old son has infused my work with curiosity and optimism.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT?
I think taking the risk of walking away from a great job everyone told me was success to find something I truly viewed as success ... which was living in a foreign country, learning a new language, having a lifestyle I can spend lots of quality time with my son and creating art for a living.

YOU CURRENTLY LIVE IN BUENOS AIRES, ARE THERE ANY ARGENTINEAN BANDS/MUSICIANS THAT YOU'D RECOMMEND?
Miranda is from Buenos Aires ... but my favorite band from Latin America is Cafe Tucuba from Mexico.
WE HEAR YOU TRAIN IN BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU. WHICH BELT ARE YOU?
Hahaha .. that's almost as embarrassing as asking how well do I speak Spanish ... I have done BJJ off and on since 1996 ... I left Seattle as a Blue Belt & quit for about 5 years and did it for awhile in Buenos Aires before breaking my toe and rib ... I plan to return at some point ... I love it ... so in a nutshell ... I am still a blue belt ... but am probably at a purple belt level.
WHAT'S THE STRANGEST THING YOU'VE SMUGGLED INTO OR OUT OF ARGENTINA?
Nothing out of Argentina ... but anytime you come from the states to Argentina people will ask you to bring anything technology related & laptops, cameras, ipods, etc.
